A sellout Hallenstadion and well deserved praise from the press for Sade’s first visit to Zurich for something like 10 or 15 years. It was a smooth and well managed performance, matching the singer’s impeccable vocals and stunning appearance.
We were shooting from the soundboard 45m from the stage with a seated audience giving a clear view. The 300mm on my 1D4 proved excellent as expected, and for the second song I added the 1.4 extender to see how that performed. I was impressed… A few shots as well on the 5D2 with 70-200mm for good measure to get a wider stage view and then we were done after 2 songs. ISO 2500, f/2.8 – f/4.0 but shutters around 1/400 and a monopod for the monster 300mm lens.
