I was looking forward to shooting In Flames again as I got some great shots in the Volkhaus a while back. Unfortunately this time the lighting was pretty bad and I got nothing like the same quality and enjoyment from this show.
I used the 1D4 with 24-70mm exclusively, even though the 5D2 was hanging around my neck. ISO2500, and a big variance in shutter speeds. I tried to push the aperture up to f/4.0 where possible. However, if you look at the set you’ll see a large number of B&W simply due to the horrible blue lights that crushed the images completely. With B&W there was a chance to bring back some of the details, but still not a great set of images compared to what I like to produce.
