You have to love it when the guitarist looks straight down the lens and starts posing just for you….
For this gig I used almost exclusively the full frame 5D MkII, the first 2 songs with 24-70mm f/2.8, and then for the 3rd I song switched to the 16-35mm f/2.8. This shot is with the latter. ISO up at 3200 with fast shutter speeds to stop the very hectic action on stage.
It was my first opportunity with the FF body to try out the wide angle since with this venue the stage height and access was perfect… in fact I think I was almost hanging over the monitors to take some of these shots but the band didn’t seem to mind 😀
